about

CD available at: www.colosseum.de/product_info.php/info/p2269_66-67-----Fairplay-war-gestern.html

This is the soundtrack for the feature film '66/67’ by Ludwig & Glaser (with Fabian Hinrichs, Cristoph Bach, Melika Foroutan, Maxim Mehmet, Fahri Ogün Yardim, Christian Ahlers and many others) which was co-produced by Arte & ZDF and shown at several filmfestivals across Europe (Zürich, Hof etc..) aswell as european cinemas in the autumn of 2009. It won the award for 'best movie in German language’ at the Zürich International Film Festival.

The film music was composed by Dirk Dresselhaus (with the kind help of friends like Nina Asseng, Dirk Kretz & Benny Nilsen) who fooled around with many different genres and forms like the made up Indie-band Magnetband which plays the Gummo Club in the beginning of the movie, oddities like the 80's hair-metal piece 'Hangin' Around' or 'Construction Site Blues', songs like 'Something's Wrong' which were inspired by the screenplay itself, remakes of songs from Dirk's musical past like 'Torrid Souls-Redux' aswell as free improvisations which he played live to the movie and that correspond with the original sound of it.
